Abbotsford Juniors Football Club is a volunteer-based community football club that has provided a safe, family-friendly environment for members of all ages to develop their skills and enjoy playing football for 60 years.
The “Abbotsford Juniors” name continues to reflect the Club’s focus
on junior football development at a grass-roots level.
The Football Canterbury Association Board has confirmed that its Over 50 age group competition will change from the 2026 Winter Season. The following guidance has been provided by the Association:
Some belated recognition to another Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (AJFC) 2025 Champion team from the grand final weekend just gone – this time our All Age Men Division 5 B team. Yet again, it was another closely fought game through regular time, it was the the AJFC team with an extra time golden goal to close our the victory. 💪
To the Belmore Eagles Football Club team, congratulations on a brilliant season to capture the Minor Premiership 👏👏👏 and our sincere thanks to Club for all their work hosting games throughout the finals series this year 🙏🙏!
To AJFC coach and manager extraordinaire, Alessio, and all the boys, congratulations on a great season and outstanding finals series to claim the 2025 Championship. We trust that the celebrations Saturday night were long and large! 💛💜⚽️
Whilst it was a weekend full of grand finals, it was also great to be able to celebrate the completion of another season of Football Canterbury non-competitive football for our Under 8 to Under 12 teams. A big thank you (🙏🙏🙏) to all of the Clubs and their volunteers who gave their time to host final games and medal presentations last weekend. Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (AJFC) was no exception, hosting 25 games involving teams from #acufc_sydney, APIA Leichhardt Tigers Juniors Football Club Inc, Ashfield Pirates FC, Balmain & District Football Club, Canterbury Lions Football Club, Concord Junior Soccer Club, Cooks River Titans Football Club, Earlwood Wanderers Football Club, Enfield FC, Football Club Five Dock, Hurlstone Park Wanderers, Leichhardt Saints Football Club, LFC Sports, Marrickville FC, Russell Lea Women's Soccer Club – RLWSC and Strathfield Strikers FC.
