Call for 2026 Season – AJFC Award Nominations
Abbotsford Juniors Football Club is pleased to issue a call for nominations for AJFC Awards for Season 2026. The Awards recognise outstanding individuals and teams that have represented AJFC with distinction during the season both in terms of their performance and their representation of the Club’s values.
Nominations received will be assessed by a 3-person panel appointed from the Club’s Executive Committee, firstly, form a short-list of award nominees and ultimately, to determine the winner in each category.
The AJFC Awards be presented at the end of the AJFC 2026 Season – Youth Presentation Day to be held on Sunday 13th September.
Award nominations can be submitted by any registered Club member using the AJFC 2026 Annual Awards Nomination Form. These must be received by no later than 11:45pm Sunday 16th August 2026 to be eligible for consideration.
Just select the Award category, enter the name of the person or team nominated, and provide information as to why you believe they are deserving of the Award. Your contact details are required in case the panel requires further information to make an informed decision.
The Abbotsford Juniors Football Club Award categories for the 2026 Season are as follows:
MiniRoos (Under 6 and Under 7)
MiniRoos Coach of the Year – awarded to the Coach who has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values and has gone above and beyond for their team
Junior/Youth (Under 8 to Under 16) Awards
Mixed/Boys Team Coach of the Year – awarded to the Coach who has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values, delivering outstanding results and who has gone above and beyond for their Boys team
Girls Team Coach of the Year – awarded to the Coach who has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values, delivering outstanding results and who has gone above and beyond for their Girls team
Team Manager of the Year – awarded to the Team Manager who has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values, delivering outstanding results and who has gone above and beyond for their Junior/Youth team
Mixed/Boys Team of the Year – awarded to the Boys Team that has achieved outstanding results and that has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values
Girls Team of the Year – awarded to the Girls Team that has achieved outstanding results and that has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values
Adult (Under 18/19 to Over 55) Awards
Adult Team Official of the Year – awarded to the Team official who has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values, delivering outstanding results and who has gone above and beyond for their team
Adult Team of the Year – awarded to the Adult Team that has achieved outstanding results and that has demonstrated Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values
Club Awards
AJFC Fair Play Award (Neil Heron Award) – awarded to the Adult Team that has achieved the best disciplinary record for the 2026 season (no nomination)
AJFC Volunteer of the Year (Madeleine Wright Award) – awarded to the adult volunteer member who best demonstrates Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values and who has gone above and beyond in assisting the Club and its membership in 2026
AJFC Youth Volunteer of the Year (Paul Simeoni Award) – awarded to the youth volunteer member (aged 16 or under) who best demonstrates Abbotsford Juniors Football Club values and who has gone above and beyond in assisting the Club and its membership in 2026
AJFC “Good Sport” Award – awarded to the Club member or team that has demonstrated an outstanding moment of sportsmanship during the 2026 Season.
