The Football Canterbury Association has released finals information for all teams participating in the 2026 Winter Season.

The finals information release (copy below) provides important guidance around the make-up of finals, player eligibility, game day procedures, ground officials and technical area compliance and post-grand final presentations.

Importantly, the occurrence of finals also sees a significant increase in players being sent from the field of play for violent behaviour and a spike of incident reports relating to other forms of misconduct, including melees. AJFC teams should ensure that they demonstrate leadership in this area and address unacceptable player or spectator behaviour promptly.

Team members and/or spectators who transgress during finals should expect to be banned from any further participation in their team’s finals series.
